Jane Barrett, MA School/District Liaison
Jane develops and manages all sales and marketing activities for Dovetail Learning, Inc. with a focus on bringing TOOLBOX™ to as many children as possible. Jane brings over 25 years experience in business development as well as 5 years experience as a counselor working with “at-risk” children.
, Administrative Assistant
Kristie provides administrative support to the Executive, Program, and Fund Development departments of Dovetail Learning, Inc. Her duties also include managing our social media sites, coordinating Regional Trainings, conducting research, as well as keeping up with TOOLBOX inquiries the organization receives on a daily basis. Kristie’s event coordination experience and management skills as the Director of Much Ado About Sebastopol will help further Dovetail Learning’s Regional Training opportunities.
Emiliano Carrasco-Zanini, MA Richmond TOOLBOX Project Coordinator
Emiliano coordinates the implementation of TOOLBOX™
in the schools of Richmond, California. He works with administrators, teachers, and local Community-Based Organizations to facilitate our Collaboration for Resilient Children in the West Contra Costa Unified School District. He has 8 years experience working with youth from K-12 in various diverse communities in California. He has a Masters degree in Education and has a background in teaching social studies through a lens of social justice.
Bryan Clement, MEd Director of Program and Partnerships Bryan directs all aspects of TOOLBOX implementation and our partnerships with districts and Community-Based Organizations. He brings over 15 years of educational experience to Dovetail Learning, Inc. as a former TOOLBOX teacher, TOOLBOX K-8 principal, and Director of Advancement. Bryan has seen the transformative power that TOOLBOX has in the lives of those who are exposed to its effectiveness. He is passionate about creating a simple path to kindness for our world by partnering with schools and fellow educators to advance, share, and grow TOOLBOX.
Laurel Collin Office Manager
Laurel has been working with Dovetail Learning, Inc. since its inception. She manages all things Dovetail, including our office, client communications, vendor relationships, daily financial management, and keeping the “Treehouse” (our office) in high spirits. She is often the first person you will talk with when calling the Dovetail Learning offices.
Mark A. Collin, MA, MFT Author of The Toolbox Project and Founder of Dovetail Learning, Inc.
Mark is a visionary social-entrepreneur and hands-on builder of new ideas, and has worked in and with schools to develop and teach TOOLBOX™
since 1993. He has been teaching, studying, and practicing in the field of humanistic, Jungian, and transpersonal psychology for over 37 years. Mark maintains a small private practice as a marriage and family therapist in Santa Rosa, California.
Michael Di Rosario Finance Manager
Michael develops and maintains Dovetail Learning’s financial systems and fiscal reporting to ensure efficient, sustainable operations. Working in collaboration with the Managing Director, he is also responsible for developing and maintaining organizational and departmental budgets for the present and assisting with the ongoing evolution of our business model for Dovetail Learning’s future growth and development.
David Donica, MBA Director of Business Operations
David manages our business systems including Salesforce.com data reporting and management, Google communication, website login and maintenance, and everything else electronic. David has over 20 years experience working with nonprofit and for-profit business systems and organizational development.
Chuck Fisher, PhD Executive Director of Dovetail Learning, Inc. Chuck has been a partner, author, and developer in bringing TOOLBOX™ to the world since 2009. Chuck has over 30 years of experience as a counselor and psychologist in grades K-12 and graduate education. He has developed, taught, and advised on social and emotional learning (SEL) in private and public schools and been a trainer for both PassageWorks Institute and the HeartMath Institute. Chuck is currently on the Adjunct Research Faculty at Sofia University/Institute of Transpersonal Psychology
Peter Hwosch Videographer/Facilitator
Peter has been filming TOOLBOX since 2005. His films inform all of us about the power of children to manage their own learning and life. Peter is a documentary producer, recording and performing songwriter/composer, trained mediator, and certified facilitator for The Compassionate Listening Project (TCLP). He is founder/producer of Hwosch Productions, Make It Real Films, and True Wealth Trainings. His work ranges from coalition building in post-war Croatia to reconciliation work in Israel/Palestine, to the Everyone Orchestra improvisational music project, among others.

Sandy Hook Promise Dovetail Learning partners with Sandy Hook Promise, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to identify and implement holistic, common sense solutions to make our communities and our country safer from acts of gun violence through advocacy, education, and grassroots discussion.
Stuart Foundation The Stuart Foundation has supported the vision and development of Dovetail Learning since 2010. The foundation is dedicated to the protection, education and development of children and youth. Stuart Foundation works toward ensuring that all children grow up in caring families, learn in vibrant and effective schools, and have opportunities to become productive members of their communities.
WestEd, Health and Human Development Program Since 2009, Dovetail Learning has partnered with WestEd on further development of the TOOLBOX curriculum, with a particular emphasis on classroom-readiness and developmental appropriateness at each grade level. WestEd has also been involved in assessment of TOOLBOX impacts. WestEd is a recognized leader in the field of childhood resilience. They also developed and maintain the nation’s most comprehensive school-based health and behavior data collection system: the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) for students and its companion School Climate Survey for staff.
Child Parent Institute (formerly California Parenting Institute) Dovetail Learning has been in collaboration with CPI since 2009 providing services to Bellevue School District, in Santa Rosa, CA combining TOOLBOX with counseling led pull-out groups and CPI parent education support and in-home parenting services. Child Parent Institute has a strength-based philosophy and uses both proven evidence-based and innovative practices to help and heal children, educate and support parents, and enhance parent competency.
