Dovetail Learning recognizes that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we value your trust in handling your data responsibly.
This policy applies when visiting https://dovetaillearning.org/, our online store, our social media channels including Facebook and Instagram, and our We Are Resilient™ mobile app (iOS).
The Simple Version
We use your contact information exclusively for internal purposes and do not share personal data with third parties without your explicit consent. Website registration and purchases automatically enroll you in our e-newsletter, with the ability to unsubscribe at any time. In the app, your personal data — reflections, mood history, goals, and course progress — belongs to you and is used only to power your experience.
Personal Information Collection
Information You Provide
Dovetail Learning collects information through website subscriptions, purchases, donations, and form submissions, as well as through account registration and use of the We Are Resilient™ app. We process your data based on consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a), which you can withdraw at any time.
Social Media & Comments
We use Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms to engage with our community. We reserve the right to edit, moderate, and reuse comments for in-house promotional materials. Hateful speech and unauthorized promotions are prohibited.
Automatic Information
Our website servers log basic visit data including browser information, device type, language preferences, geographic location, timestamps, and IP addresses (anonymized). The general website does not currently use cookies.
We Are Resilient™ App Data
Account Data
When you create an account in the app, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. This information is stored in Supabase, our secure database provider.
App Activity Data
The app stores your mood check-ins, journal reflections, gratitude entries, course progress, pathway progress, goal data, and resilience assessment results. This data is tied to your account and stored securely. It is used solely to power your in-app experience and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Subscription and Purchase Data
Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Dovetail Learning does not collect or store your payment card information. Subscription management — including purchase history, renewal status, and cancellation — is handled by Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect anonymized usage data to verify subscription status. Please review Apple’s Privacy Policy and RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment and subscription data.
Analytics Data
The app collects anonymized usage analytics (such as which features are used and how often) to help us improve the experience. This data is not linked to your personal identity.
Subscription Terms
The We Are Resilient™ app offers auto-renewable subscriptions for premium access. By purchasing a subscription:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period at the same rate.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until that date.
Data Security
Sensitive information is encrypted using SSL and other industry-standard measures. All systems storing personal data are secured by firewalls. App data is stored using Supabase’s secure, encrypted infrastructure.
Information Use
We use data to:
- Operate and personalize your app and website experience
- Fulfill orders and enable website and app access
- Provide customer service and respond to your requests
- Send newsletters and service-related communications (approximately twice monthly)
- Improve our products and services
We do not rent or sell our email list and do not share personal information with third parties without your advance consent.
Data Retention and Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated app data at any time by using the “Delete Account & Data” option in the app’s More page, or by contacting us at info@dovetaillearning.org. Upon deletion, your data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems.
Non-U.S. Users Notice
Dovetail Learning is U.S.-based and stores information in the United States. While third-party service providers may be located internationally, our content and practices conform to U.S. law.

Customers receive full refunds for unsatisfactory products by contacting us at info@dovetaillearning.org. For subscription refunds, please contact Apple Support directly, as all in-app purchases are processed through Apple.
