Resilient Mindsets
Shape The Way We Respond to Life’s Ups and Downs

Resilient Mindsets help us stay grounded, connected, and collaborative—especially in moments of stress or uncertainty. These aren’t just abstract concepts; they’re practical, learnable ways of thinking that strengthen our ability to respond with intention.

  • Curiosity – Invites us to observe with openness rather than judgment.
  • Choice – Reminds us that we have agency in how we respond, even when we can’t control the situation.
  • Courage – Helps us face discomfort, speak our truth, and take meaningful risks.

When we intentionally engage a Resilient Mindset, we create space between stimulus and response—space to act from our values rather than our stress. Practicing these mindsets helps us move from reactivity to resilience, with greater clarity, compassion, and confidence.

The We Are Resilient mindsets gives a meaningful perspective on how to move on from a fixed mindset and adopt a more balanced approach to life situations and a more positive mindset.

The Resilient Mindset: Curiosity
Curiosity is a mindset that opens the door to new possibilities.

Practicing Curiosity Looks Like:

  • Noticing our judgments and gently wondering where they come from
  • Pausing judgment to make space for new insights
  • Being open to what we can learn—about ourselves, others, or the situation
  • Letting people and situations be just as they are, without needing to control or fix them
  • Asking ourselves thoughtful questions, like “What else might be true here?”
  • Asking others clarifying questions to deepen understanding, rather than assume

The Resilient Mindset of Curiosity invites us to approach ourselves and others with openness instead of judgment. It helps us slow down, observe what’s really happening, and wonder about what we might not yet see. Curiosity creates space for learning, growth, and connection—especially in the face of stress or uncertainty.

Notice – Wonder – Learn

The Resilient Mindset: Choice
Choice is a mindset that reminds us we have the power to respond with intention.

Practicing Choice Looks Like:

  • Noticing what’s happening inside and around us
  • Pausing to create space between stimulus and response
  • Exploring what might be possible, even if it’s not obvious at first
  • Being curious about options we may not have considered yet
  • Considering the impact of our potential responses
  • Choosing a response that aligns with our values and supports well-being

Choice begins with recognizing that we always have options—even when it doesn’t feel like it. It invites us to slow down, step back, and get curious about what responses might be possible. By engaging the Resilient Mindset of Curiosity, we open ourselves to new perspectives and discover choices we may not have seen before.
